Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1971. Classical studies since age 6 with Maestro Hector Tosar ( Aaron Copland''s student) . In 1994 he received a full scholarship from O.A.S. to study in the U.S.A. and two years later graduated "magna cum laude" at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. During this period he obtained the "Professional Music Achievement" award, and his composition"Fragiltimer for the Past Future" for piano was selected as one of the ten best original compositions coming out from Berklee in the last 30 years (1966-1996) In 1995 he was accepted as a private student by the legendary jazz vibraphonist Gary Burton.

He has been touring extensible since 1994 through Europe, Asia ,South America, Central America, and North America, presenting his music with his different Tango, Jazz, and chamber ensembles. Worked as Musical Director, pianist, composer, producer and arranger, of multiple International Tango shows, including: Forever Tango, Painting Tango, Pintando Musica, Tango Fire, Tango Connection, Eternal Tango Orchestra, Tango Buenos Aires, Fontango, Tanguardia, New York Tango Trio, Tango Noir, Avantango and New York - Buenos Aires Connection among others. He also directs his own jazz ensembles, performing at numerous venues worldwide, including: Jazz Festivals, international contests, concerts, jazz clubs, radio and TV such as: NY City Center (New York), Symphony Space (New York), Chung Mu Art Hall (Korea), Europe Jazz Contest ''99 (Belgium), BET (USA TV), "Porgy & Bess" Jazz Club (Vienna/Austria), Lincoln Center (NewYork City , Bosendorfer New York Artist Salon, "Sala Verdi" (Uruguay), Benaroya Hall (Seattle WA), Cooper Union - Great Hall (NYC), Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas (PUERTO RICO)The Jazz Cable Channel(NewYork), "The ATrain" (Berlin/Germany), KeepWalking Jazz Tour Festival (Uruguay), Manhattan Neighborhood Network (NewYorkTV Channel), ORF (National TV/Austria), BPC Hall (Boston), International Jazz Festival at Kempten (Germany) , International Contest for Contemporary Chamber Music at Düsseldorf (Germany) , Hypo Jazz Festival (Austria), Jazz Festival Seeon (Germany), "Graz"Jazz Festival (Austria), "JazzKeller" (Frankfurt -Germany), Plaza Fuerte Sarandi (Uruguay) Jackie Gleason Theatre (Miami) among many others.

With 20 years of teaching experience, he gave Lectures, Master Classes and workshops at The Juilliard School, NYU, Yale University, University of Florida, University of Uruguay, Waldorf Schule (Austria), and Klagenfurt Music Conservatory (Austria), representing Berklee College of Music. He is currently a faculty member of the Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts (NewYork City) since 1997, (one of the most respected conservatories in Latin Music Studies in the US), where he teaches composition and Latin jazz piano. He was also Bette Midler''s Musical Director for 2 years, and worked also as her accompanist and private teacher. He was commissioned to do an arrangement of one of his original compositions, for the ensemble "The twelve cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic", and co-wrote, arranged and recorded the Tango" Volvere" with actor Robert Duvall, which was premiered at Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

He has performed and recorded with several Grammy and Oscar award winners, and many internationally acclaimed artists like : Bette Midler, Neil Sedaca, Robert Duvall, Mark Egan, JorgeTrasante, Manolo Badrena, John Benitez, Federico Britos, Avishai Cohen, Rob Blumenthal, Roland Gebhardt, Satoshi Takeshi, Bakithi Kumalo, RayVega, Hector del Curto, Ruth Brisbane, Curtis Lundy, Harold Ousley, Johnny Almendra, Steve Hass, Mark Hagan and Miguel Zenon among others.

In 1999, he won the International Award: "Belgian Artistic Promotion" at the Europe Jazz Contest 1999, and as film Composer of "La Cascara", from the producers of Pedro Almodovar''s movies, won at the New York Film Festival, Bogota Film Festival and Leipzig Film Festival in 2007.
