Max Tell is the pseudonym for international children’s writer, storyteller, singer, and songwriter, Robert Stelmach. His storytelling magic, which covers a 25 year career, has brought smiles to the faces of children around the world. His tours and performances in Asia and North America have brought grins to many young faces including the mentally challenged, the blind, and the deaf.
When asked about the inspiration for his work, Tell replied, “I believe that well crafted stories, songs, and poems empower young people. They teach them about themselves, their family, their friends, their neighbors and the world they live in. They also teach all of us how to live, how to love, even how to forgive.”
With 5 Asian tours to his credit, Max has been dubbed “The International Troubadour” by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. In 1994, on his longest tour (98 shows in three months) Max was invited to the Philippines to give a command performance in Manila’s famous Rizal Park Amphitheatre. In the fall of 2009, Max is scheduled for a three week tour of Brazil.
Tell has produced 4 entertaining story and music cd’s: a Fist of Bees; The Land of Graws; Dragon with a Flagon and Little Johnny Small and Other Stories.
