Details:
Since QuinTango''s instrumentation is not that of the usual Argentine orchestra, we must arrange each piece. Before 2000, we did our own arrangements or worked with two Washington composer/arrangers, Carmelo Pino, and Jim Kessler, who did our symphonic arrangements. All that changed on a trip to Buenos Aires in 2000, when we met an amazing musician and wonderful pianist, the legendary Osvaldo Berlinghieri. Since that meeting, Maestro Berlinghieri has provided us with over a dozen arrangements, five of which are included on ''To Buenos Aires with Love.'' We were so moved by the the generosity and talent of the many musicians we met in Buenos Aires that we dedicate this CD to them and the incredible music they have created.
One of the amazing things about QuinTango is the way it puts us in touch with both people from our past and strangers around the world who hear our music on the web and fall in love with it. If you fit either description, feel free to email us. I will list here the wonderful members of QuinTango''s expanding family:
