Inspired and accomplished classical artist, Janice Girard has been recognized as a major talent for many years. Her musical gifts, coupled with a brilliant technique and distinctive style have been a delight to audiences and critics alike.
Born in Vancouver, Janice is the recipient of many awards, most notably the first prize in the Eckhardt-Gramatte Competition. She has given recitals in major cities across Canada, and in Europe has performed in the celebrated music sessions of Holland, Poland and Italy.
As a versatile soloist, accompanist and chamber music artist, Janice has collaborated with various orchestras and has explored the realm of "duo" between singer and piano, cello and piano, and the repertoire for two pianos.
Currently, Janice balances her time between performing and assisting in building homes with her life partner. Her performances are quite often private, in an intimate setting and include fund-raising events such as the Canadian Cancer Society Diamond Ball.
