Details:
Pete Fletcher has been playing guitar for a lot of years. Starting in the early sixties playing rock and roll, he quickly came to the conclusion that there was more to music than playing three chords, checking out lots women and earning no money, so a quick exit stage left was the order of the day.
Listening to Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Mann, Yusef Latif and many other jazz innovators made him take a different musical direction. Then along came Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Barney Kessell, John McLaughlin, Jimi Hendrix, Jaco, Weather Report, Mike Stern, John Scofield, John Abercromby and Alan Holdsworth, very quickly realising that the most important thing in all of this was the INTEGRITY OF THE MUSIC....and it''s been a never ending journey ever since.
Last year he started an independent record label "Sub-Urban Collective" and the first album release was "The Dreaming City" launched at the 2007 Glasgow International Jazz Festival.
Pete is currenly working on several projects writing, collaborating, rehearsing and https://www.tradebit.comh his new trio "Shockwave" His latest project is this new album "Last Man Standing" and is released under the Nu-Jazz Europe label.
