In 2008 Luke recorded "Burn to the Ground" at The Pawn Shop studio in Kensington Market, featuring 10 original acoustic guitar based songs, with a mixture of accompaniment on drums, bass, piano, and electric guitar. Seven of the songs feature backing vocals from Kat Burns of Toronto band Forest City Lovers and "Whenever You Hear This Song" is a duet with Sarah Cook. Producer, engineer, mixer and percussionist Mike "Dullboy" Langford collaborated with Luke and the musicians to create a sound inspired by Neil Young''s album "Harvest".
