MP3 Sequel - Daylight Fright
On their 2nd album, the boys of Sequel made a bit of a style change...hair was grown longer, guitars slung a bit lower, and one couldn''t help but notice a harder musical edge being honed - one that cut right to the top of Portland radio in the early 80''s.

Details:
Northwest based Sequel helped define 80''s rock up and down the West Coast. In 1983, they were arguably Portland''s most hit laden and hard working band. Sequel was in constant contact with several major labels when Roy Thomas Baker, (producer for Queen, The Cars, Journey, Foreigner, etc.) who was at that time President of Elektra Asylum''s A & R Department, heard their 2nd album and asked Sequel to "shelve" the product so that Elektra could release as new. Tentatively titled "Daylight Fright" after their hit single of the same name charted in the Top Ten of northwest radio, they agreed to withold release of Daylight Fright until Mr. Baker could present the band to the rest of the Elektra Asylum decision makers. Months passed, and then the inevitable - the band breaks up, acrimony sets in, people move about the country and years later, a few phone calls are made, setting the stage for several re-union shows. This new CD, being plucked from tapes that were allowed to "ripen" for 20 years, is only now being resurrected to coincide with a "Delayed Release" (12/27/03) reunion concert at downtown Portland''s Roseland Grill. Sequel will be opening the show for Loverboy at Vancouver, Washington''s "Hot Summer Night" being held at Esther Short Park on July 16, 2004.
