T. Mitchell Bell grew up in a small steel town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His musical roots run deep. His great-aunt taught piano, his great-grandfather made fiddles in WV, and his father is a jazz drummer. His Dad helped start him on the path by giving him a blues harmonica book by Tony "Little Sun" Glover when he was twelve. He started his first band at 13, he was playing clubs at 15, and started writing songs in his late teens.

This is his debut professional recording.

T. Mitchell says, "I have tried to remain true to my musical roots, by writing songs that reflect my experiences and observations. I have tried to write songs that will sound soulful and illuminating years from now."

T. Mitchell Bell is a singer-songwriter in the tradition of James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and Neil Young. His other musical influences: Taj Mahal, Lightning Hopkins, Rev. Gary Davis, John Prine and Steve Forbert. Studied with Ernie Hawkins, piedmont blues guitar master. His style is folk-rock mixed with blues.
