Tommy Edwards is the longtime guitarist and lead singer with The Bluegrass Experience one of North Carolina'' best known traditional muic groups. He was twice recognized as the World''s Champion Bluegrass Guitarist at the Uninon Grove Fiddlers Convention in 1970 n 1971. He performs frequently wht The Esperience and with other acts including The Hot Tub of Grits, Lonesome Heart and Carolina Lightning. He also plasy banjo and mandolin wiht Leroy Savage, "The Father of Newgrass Music".He has appeared on 10 recordigs of his won and the bands and has done guitar tracks for artists such as Shady Grove and MIke Cross. His songs have een ecorded by a vaiety of bluegrass acts.
