Jacqueline Adele Johnson is a talented singer & closet pianist. She was born in Montreal, Quebec to Jamaican parents. The first of four girls who used to dress up and sing in their basement, she was the only one who would continue on to become a professional musician. She begged for a piano and was lucky enough to have piano lessons setting the stage for a sound musical foundation. Jacqueline completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Montreal’s Concordia University and began her performing career in the late 1980. She met her pianist husband Marc Auguste and together they wrote 3 original tracks on her debut album Song in Blue.
It is a beautiful recording of standards with a twist, introspective vocals and amazing musicianship.
