Details:
Moulton Jess was formed from the writing duo of Kole Moulton and Jaremy Jess. The two began performing their original brand of country music in clubs around the Jackson Hole area in 2002. After achieving success as an acoustic act, they laid the groundwork for what was to become one of the most in demand country acts in the Northwest.
In 2003, they secured veteran guitarist Peter Bryan who helped them craft their now famous "Rockin'' Country" sound. After almost two years of constant touring, Moulton Jess honed their stage show into a razor sharp entertainment event. In 2005, the band was invited to participate in the Colgate Country Music Showdown, a national competition for country songwriters. After winning the regional competition, they took second place in the national finals. In the fall of that year, the band entered the studio to begin work on their self-titled debut album. After months of relentless work, the album of all original material was released in July of 2006. The album''s producer was added to the group as their new drummer during the recording process, completing the lineup.
Songs from the debut album began hitting regional radio stations that fall and by winter of 2006/2007, Redneck and Whiskey River were both receiving airplay. In the spring of 2007, "What Would You Say" spent two weeks as the most requested song on 105.5 The Hawk... and by summer time, "Hard Time to Beat" was put into rotation and became the groups most successful single from the album.
The band entered the studio again in November of 2007 to begin work on their sophomore album Lonely Road to Freedom. The first single off this album, "Show Me" hit radio stations in June 2008 and has received rave reviews from listeners. The album was officially released in July. The bands first music video for Show Me was completed in November 2008 and has been entered into a national competition with both CMT and GAC. Stay tuned for the results.
