The WEIGALTOWN ELEMENTAL BAND was the house band at American Artist Studio in Erie,PA between 1973 and 1982.
The group consisted of three former ARKAY IV members, Dave Massello, Skip Niebauer and Bill Kirby and musical friends: Bernie DiNardo, Tom Beam, Paul Fortin, Lyle Cook and M.A. Cieler.
During the 1970''s the group performed occasionally at festivals and night clubs.
DON''T HURT YOURSELF was WEIGALTOWN''s only recording. It was released in 1976 and contains all original songs written by Skip Niebauer except one, "Let It Roll" by Tom Beam. The vinyl album has become a collectors item.
In 2008 DON''T HURT YOURSELF was completely remixed and digitally remastered as a CD.
