For over 15 years, as a bassist sideman, and then later as a bandleader, Hank was a driving force in some of the Jersey Shore’s most dynamic and innovative bands, sharing the stage with such diverse artists as: Bruce Springsteen, Hot Tuna, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Toots & the Maytalls, The Radiators, Jon Bon Jovi, Johnny Winter, Room Full of Blues, Johnny Johnson, The Nighthawks, John Hammond Jr, Clarence Clemmons & The Red Bank Rockers, Merl Saunders & The Rainforest Band and The Smithereens.

In March of 2001 He moved from New York City to Houston, TX and began a new phase of his music career – Singer/Songwriter. Since then Hank’s compositions have garnered him honors in numerous songwriting competitions including: The Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition, The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Contest, The SongDoor International Songwriting Contest, The South Florida Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter Competition, The Suwannee Springfest Songwriting Contest, The Dallas Songwriters Association Songwriting Contest and the Austin Songwriters Group Spring Songwriting Competition.

His first CD as a songwriter, “Medallion”, released in 2005, combined elements of Folk, Blues, and Rock with Brasilian, Cuban, African and Indian rhythms. Recorded in studios across Texas, Colorado and New Jersey, over a 2 ½ year period, “Medallion” features Hank on guitar, bass, percussion and vocals with an outstanding supporting cast of some of the best friends and finest musicians he has performed with over the last 15 years. For his outstanding production work on “Medallion”, he was nominated for the 2006 Producer of the Year award, by the Academy of Texas Music.
