Details:
Victor first saw the light of day through a window in Nashville''s Baptist Hospital.
The year was 1952, cars had chrome bumpers and the automatic transmission was a new-fangled gizmo. His first public performance was a solo on "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" with the choir at Carroll Street Methodist Church - age 8. Next came piano lessons and the alto saxophone in junior high band. That stuff went out the window with the arrival of the Beatles and the Stones.
Like every other adolescent boy in America, Victor got a guitar and Mel Bay Book One. Fast-forward to 1985 and a dream came true. By will and dumb luck, his tax return read "occupation: musician". He played most any and every gig he could get from solo nights in low-life bars to the orchestra pit in theatrical productions. Highlights: playing guitar and tenor banjo for a national tour of Roger Miller''s Broadway musical BIG RIVER and lead guitar with a Top 40 cover band on a gig at a nudist colony. Most people really should keep their clothes on.
Victor''s first CD, Personal Mercury, was released in 1995, followed by Hush Money in 1998 and Skinnybones in 2000. He currently resides in beautiful British Columbia where he''s working his way through Mel Bay Book Two.
