Chrys Berri was surrounded by music as a child. His parents were both professional musicians who encouraged musical training for the whole family. He studied piano with his siblings until starting woodwinds in Middle School. High School included expanding his experience with more instruments, composition, arranging and jazz training. Chrys attended college at C.S.U.N. where he received advanced training in theory, composition and performance. He has had much experience performing professionally as a sideman and leader. Chrys now owns and manages Berri''s Music in Simi Valley, California where he teaches, arranges music, operates a professional recording studio and performs in the community.
Some say he sounds like: Tom Scott; The Wave; Dave Collins; The Yelllowjackets/ Rippingtons; Spyro Gyra; Grover Washington Jr., but mostly he excels at being uniquely, verri, verri, Berri!
