In 1993 the arrival of Eugene Wilson III (a.k.a Relentless) and Troy Smith (a.k.a Mystery) to Elizabethtown, Kentucky from Louisville, Kentucky completed the puzzle to the picture of what would become the group known as P.I.G Playas in the Game. The seven member group consist of Var (Levar Coleman), Yung Koon (Mukunya Rusher), Ike Newman (Teriyaki Fugett), Mac Balla (Carl "Dooch" Skillman), Young Tohny Montana (Chris Skillman), as well as the before mentioned Relentless (Eugene Wilson III) and Mystery (Troy Smith) began their music careers in high school, continued separately while each pursued different avenues of education and life itself, came back together in 2001 to begin work on their first studio record titled Bluegrass.
BLUEGRASS
The first studio record compiled from several songs featuring the P.I.G artist, as well as guest appearances from other Kentucky artist, became an instant underground classic. The Bluegrass album also introduced the Playas in the Game artist to the Kentucky hip-hop community, then spread throughout the country''s underground hip-hop scene. After the completion of the Bluegrass album, P.I.G turned their attention to completing two solo albums, one by Var and one by Yung Koon, and a compilation album of unreleased songs called the UndieGround album. Each album was well received, and went on to sell multiple copies.
THE OCCUPATION
The second studio produced album, the first that will be commercially released, was completed on February 18th, 2005.
DUCK TAPE RAPIST
Accompanying the unique lyrics on each song is the most original beats heard in the industry in years. The instrumentals on the P.I.G songs are composed by three of Playas in the Game artist, Var, Relentless, and Ike Newman. Each with his own unique style, yet complementing every artist within the group.
