Details:
Not afraid to write the songs that can prick, that can stir the heart, yet no stranger to the clever pop song, both a lover and a fighter, an activist and a pacifist, Steve Carroll ‘steps out on his own’ to write, to compose, to build songs that are not afraid.
- Spring ‘05, Steve recorded and mixed his first album, California Sky, with the help of producer Bryan Cash. After two years of playing the Florida scene, Carroll’s debut release subtly reflects his classical training in its arrangement, a little jazzy and with violin and cello thrown in for good measure.
- December ‘07, Carroll released his second studio album of the year, the appropriately titled “Come December”. Both “Come December” and its predecessor “bride” were recorded and mixed while he was living and working at a premier artist colony on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, in Massachusetts.
- November ‘08, After a two part East Coast/ So Cal tour, Steve sat down to record his most upbeat, energetic cuts to date. Break me down is the fourth in a line of great studio albums, every instrument is played by Carroll himself and it’s acoustic feel really allows him to shine.
Steve will be out on the road again this Fall in support of his new album for a Coast to Coast ''08 tour.
