Details:
"With his hushed tenor voice, clever lyrics and relaxed grooves, Moore carves out a niche on the album somewhere between Keb'' Mo'' and Michael Franks." -- The Washington Post

"...mixing lush licks of blue-eyed soul and haunting voice with the verbal flair of Tom Waits." -- The Bergen Record

"Moore is more...on ''Bye Bye Frankie,'' a send-off to another somewhat more famous singer from Hoboken, he''s affectionate without being sentimental and jaunty without being rakish -- like Steely Dan''s Donald Fagen were he lower his guard enough to pay homage to Frank Sinatra." -- The Times of Acadiana, Lafayette, LA

**********

Rich, organic soul food. Lush & dynamic acoustic inner grooves, with appearances by a host of righteous, world-class players -- plus some dreamy guitar stretching by Scott E. Perfect for intense headphone listening with a good buzz on and driving (not at the same time).

With his 4th and most ambitious CD, singer-songwriter Scott E. Moore takes his music to the next level. "Mr. Misunderstood" organically captures his unique hybrid of acoustic soul, Americana, folk-blues & jazz, and confirms that Moore is one of the most interesting independent artists working today.

"Mr. Misunderstood" is a collection of Moore''s strongest and most-requested material to date.

"Where You Been" - If you''ve ever had an issue with your Dad, check out this tune... goosebumps.

"Bye Bye Frankie" - A groovin'' bluesy cruise through Hoboken, NJ on the day its favorite son - Frank Sinatra -- died.

"Don''t Lead Me On" - a modern & vulnerable make-out soul tune, a cross bewteen Gamble, Huff & Elvis Costello

"Amsterdam" - a dark & funky tale of a friend going to The Netherlands to get a sex change (true story!). "Going back to Amsterdam. There comes a time to be a man..."

Every tune''s a world unto itself, and smooth as ever.

To flesh out his sound and songs on "Mr. Misunderstood," Moore put together an eclectic group of world-class players from the national jazz, R&B, pop, jam band, Americana and singer-songwriter scenes:

Acoustic Bass: Larry Grenadier (Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau, Erykah Badu); Electric Bass: Paul Frazier (David Byrne, Imani Coppola, Nile Rogers); Keys: Peter Vitalone (Riche Havens, members of The Band, Kei Ogula); Drums: Dave Diamond (MJ12, Zen Tricksters); Harmonica, Lap Steel: Tim Beattie (Marry Me Jane, The Four Horsemen), as well as singer-songwriters Dayna Kurtz and Jessica Owen.

The record was produced by Moore, recorded by John Kurgan (Don Conoscenti, Bucktooth Johnson, Ellis Paul), mixed by Rich Tozzoli (Romero, David Bowie, No Doubt, Al DiMeola), and mastered by Greg Calbi (James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Cassnadra Wilson et al).

We''re mighty proud of this one over here at WingTip. Enjoy.
