Born Darryl Drubena Chambers from El Paso, Tx created his first country & western song at age 8. A self taught piano player, at age of 9, learned "The Boogie Woogie" song playing 1 note at a time at The Boys Club. This singer-song writer has been involved with several bands throughout the decades, playing from R&B to Rock to Blues etc. & is credited for playing the majority of the instruments on his songs. As an over the road truck driver, many of his compositions, & concepts have been conceived on the interstate highways, developing a distinctive style of music (heavily influenced by Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, George Duke, America, Isaac Hayes etc. The River has completed his self-titled debut album "The River" which includes "Seems Like The One" written by the late great Isaac Hayes and David Porter, "Keep Tomorrow For Me" written by the one and only Rod Temperton, and all others written by yours truly. I hope to have this album pleasurable for the listening ear.
