The Baird Winds has been an artist-ensemble-in-residence in the Department of Music at Morehead State University for over three decades. The members of the ensemble are also music faculty members at MSU. With over 30 years of performing history, the Baird Winds has given numerous concerts throughout Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio. These performances include educational concerts, arts series concerts, appearances at Kentucky Music Educators Association Conferences, and concerts on the campus of Morehead State University. The wide variety of music performed by the Baird Winds includes the most important original chamber works for wind quintet as well as transcriptions of popular music and jazz.
Members of the Baird Winds include Jacob Roseman, flute; John Viton, oboe; Lori Baruth, clarinet; L. Curtis Hammond, horn; and David Oyen, bassoon.
