As I was driving down Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania one day, the lyrics and melody for this song suddenly popped into my head. I tried to ignore them, but as the miles rolled by they stuck with me until finally I had no choice but to pull over to the side of the road and write it all down on the back of a map. No kidding.
I did an online search and was lucky enough to locate and contact my old friend, Tom Henninger, who is now living in Nashville, TN. Tom is a talented and outstanding songwriter. Currently, among other things, he is writing tunes for Prolific Songs.
Tom took the “I Don’t Like Santa” idea and made it come alive. We had a blast producing it and couldn’t stop laughing. It took on a life of its own.
Keep your eyes peeled for the very unusual music video based on this “Christmas carol”. You’ll love it! We’ll have it online for the holiday season.
Moist Cracker has several other projects in the works, including a webisode series based on the bizarre characters introduced in the Santa video, a new music video harpooning the desperation of finding a date on the last night of the year called “No Soap On New Year’s Eve”, as well as a somber composition and video based on a song that Tom wrote called “Nikki’s Changed” and a CD featuring a collection of Tom’s best of the best music.
