Details:
Nelson Amos is professor of guitar at Eastern Michigan University where
he also teaches the graduate classes in music history. As a classical guitarist and lutenist, Dr. Amos has performed extensively in the United States and Europe. He has published several articles and regularly lectures on the history of fretted instruments.
The solo guitar music within this album is drawn from a series of concerts performed during July and August of 2006. The program is an eclectic mix of entertaining selections encompassing four centuries of guitar music as well as a variety of European and Latin American styles.
