Nelson Amos is professor of guitar at Eastern Michigan University where
he also teaches the graduate classes in music history. As a classical guitarist and lutenist, Dr. Amos has performed extensively in the United States and Europe. He has published several articles and regularly lectures on the history of fretted instruments.
The solo guitar music within this album was originally recorded in 1988 and remastered digitally in 2006. The program includes selections by the Baroque composers Bach and Weiss as well as other varied styles from around the world (Japan, Spain, and Latin America).
