A Three time winner of the Diamond State Blues Society International Blues Challenge (2004, 2005 and 2008), and two time semi-finalist at the Memphis, TN International Blues Challenge (2005 and 2006)
The Roger Girke Band plays an intense brand of original, contemporary blues lead by Roger''s strong and soulful vocals and guitar work. Roger writes much of the band’s original music with the Roger Girke Band contributing to all recorded arrangements. Production on Shake It! was coordinated by Roger and longtime friend and musical partner, Joe LaSorte, head of Teletone studios and Teletone Records.
