Tamworth, NSW native Gavin Gardner started playing guitar at the age of fifteen, when his Dad gave him a guitar for his birthday, hoping to pass on his love of country music to his son. When Gavin had quickly mastered the three chords necessary... he was invited to join church band rehearsals.
Gavin''s story, though, has not always been an easy or straightforward one. Like many others, he fell into drugs, drinking and a life that was not really going anywhere. It was, he says, a profound spiritual experience that brought him out of that and he found his songs started to change.
