Like Rabbits is Don Bodin’s third (3rd) instrumental album release since 2006.
Don wrote the music for Like Rabbits for award winning director Whitney Lauritsen’s short film Lately. After recording and producing the music for the film, Bodin found he had written several themes for the film that had gone unused.

“There were all of these melodies and ideas that didn’t end up in the score,” expressed Don Bodin. “Months after finishing the film many of these themes still haunted me. I knew I needed to get them out and bring them to life.”

After solidifying new arrangements, Bodin called on the skills of his professional
musician friends to perform the expanded score. This line up included viola soloist Leah Nelson, a busy Los Angeles session player who had recently performed with with Barry Manilow and Andea Bocelli.

“In the first takes of recording Leah’s solos, I knew the passion of her performances were just what I was looking for.” stated Don. “I wanted to capture the essence of love, lust and betrayal in the minimal, impressionistic sprit of the composers who had inspired me when I was young, like (Claud) Debussy and (Erite) Satie.”

Don Bodin studied music at Millikin Univeristy before attending film scoring classes at UCLA. In 2000 his former electronic rock band, File Underwater, took the #27 position on https://www.tradebit.com''s Emerging Artists Sales charts. In 2005 Don refocused his musical efforts on scoring for picture and has since contributed music for the independent feature film Fuego starring David Carradine, as well as several documentaries and short films and promotional spots.
