Day is Done: An Album of Lullabies is an engaging CD that explores different paths in the visual and performing arts through the magical verses of a lullaby. Also available is a beautiful illustrated companion book, Day is Done: A Lullaby, based on the title track of the CD.

LUCAS RICHMAN is a respected leader in the field of planning, conducting and composing for concerts for young people, having done so for over twenty years with orchestras such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2001, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra commissioned Mr. Richman to write a piece for a Family Concert. This piece tells the story of 5 children whose lives were influenced by the lullaby their mothers used to sing to them as a young child. The title track “Day is Done” came out of this exceptional musical tale.

When the CD was first premiered, it was featured in “Parenting Picks” in the February 2002, issue of Parenting Magazine and was also included in the “DJ Top 5” listings of WQED-FM 89.3, in the November 2002, issue of Pittsburgh Magazine.
