COUNTRY: Country Rock, ROCK: Acoustic
Details:
"Hidden Hearts" is a CD about conflicts, tempations, failures, and phoniness. That''s the people side. It is also about faithfulness, forgiveness, hope, triumph, oh, and common sense. That''s the God side. Musically it has some rock, a ballad or two, with a little funk and R&B thrown in.
I have been in rock bands since I was in High school. I am 53 now and still love to sing and write and play. I got signed to a small Christian label late in life and toured the country for a couple of years, but chances are you never heard of me. My venues were mostly small churches, not stadiums. But it was fun, and I learned a lot. I am a graphic artist by trade and am currently also on staff at my church.
"Hidden Hearts" is actually my second CD. I hope to be posting my first one, "Wise As A Serpent, Harmless As A Dove" soon. Thanks for stopping by and listening. I''d love to hear from you.
Here''s a guide to the tunes: "Will I Ever Get Better": Rock lament; "Living In Sodom": Acoustic; "Don''t We Know": Driving Rock with some great slide guitar fills; "Choices": Slow acoustic; "Wouldn''t It Be Great (To Be A Ward Of The State)?" Old school rock, satire; "All You Need": Funky, riffy rock tune about prayer; "Like You Used To Do": Mellencamp style rock tune about a ticked off, broken hearted woman; "Hidden Hearts": Acoustic love ballad; "Every Knee": Driving, funky, R&B tune; "How Dynamic": Acoustic, Dylan-ish; "You Are The One" Pop-rock praise anthem; "Keep On Goin''" Acoustic with a touch of 70''s lounge-lizard feel
