Liner Note Description -
"CD ONE: Starting in Spain, Randy takes us From Gypsy enclaves, with passionate flamenco-style guitar, to the romantic shores of the Mediterranean Sea, finally hypnotizing us with the entrancing rhythms of North Africa and Southern Spain.
Moving on to South Africa, we enjoy the songs of the nation and the rhythms of the landscape, Mbira (thumb piano) and bamboo flute melodies float over the ever-shifting percussion played on djembe, shakere, and ocean drums.
CD TWO: From Edinburgh through the Highlands of Scotland to the Isle of Skye, we''re delighted by traditional reels, bagpipes, and whistles. We hear compositions of a celebrated Scottish violinist and songs of Robert Burns.
To complete the journey, Randy creates an aural tour of Southeast Asia, conjuring scenes of Buddhist temples and traditional dances using Indonesian flutes, gongs, xylophones, jaw harp, bells, and Japanese koto."
