Details:
Tatiana Kolchanova was born in Norilsk, Russia, 1964. She began studies on piano at age 5 and violin at age 6, "I am very thankful to my parents for recognizing my potential and always giving me their full support and encouragement". She graduated Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory and continued post-graduate studies. She was Laureate of the USSR Radio''s Competition and worked as a violinist for the USSR Radio and Television Orchestra, which toured extensively throughout Russia in Europe, USA, Brazil, Japan. From 1996-2006 She was first violin for the Glinka State String Quartet whilst teaching violin at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, Moscow Academic College and Central Music School in Moscow. Also Tatiana had been coaching a student string quartet in Moscow Conservatory as assistant to professor Dmitry Shebalin (violist wish Borodin String Quartet). Now She resides and continues to perform, record and teach in Portland Oregon (USA) with her husband Edward Parente, also a violinist.
