Paisley Beebe is the alter Ego of Leonie Smith an established Australian Jazz Vocalist. Paisley (an Avatar) lives inside the 3D Virtual Online World “Second Life”, amongst a few million other Avatars, who are using “Second Life” to pursue Careers that are become less and less virtual and more and more real. Paisley is certainly Second Life''s most famous Australian and is one of Second Life''s first real TV celebrities
Paisley joined second life https://www.tradebit.com in 2006 and within 3 months became the first Australian Female Vocalist to work professionally playing live concerts within the Virtual World platform. Paisley is also a Virtual TV Talk Show host and producer of “Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe” an Oprah style Virtual Weekly Live TV show, Broadcast live in Second Life and online at https://www.tradebit.com and on itunes podcasts, which is seen by many thousands of viewers each week.
Paisley brought real life Australian Jazz players with her into the game, designing Virtual Avatars for each one and having them play with her live online. They have included Guitarist George Golla (her previous recorded accompanist), Pianist Ray Aldridge, Pianist Ray Forster, and Guitarist Saul Bamaisin.
This recording is the result of picking through Eight months of live recordings in Second Life and is dedicated to the fans all over the world that came to know Paisley through Second Life.
The resulting recording has some pieces of dialogue between her and her audience and accompanists. It is essentially a collection of Duets.
This is Leonie Smith’s 3rd Album but her first as Paisley Beebe
