His "Outlaw Country Blues " style incorporates Piedmont and Delta blues, bluegrass, rockabilly and a little good ole'' country.
Adam attributes much of his initial love for acoustic music to his father, Happy Traum, a mainstay of the Greenwich Village folk music scene. Early brushes with stardom include John Sebastian of the Lovin'' Spoonful loaning Adam his first electric guitar and an impromptu jam with Bob Dylan.
After playing in electric rock bands and learning jazz guitar, Adam re-discovered the power of acoustic music in 1993. Since then he has been studying the masters of the genre.
Some of his influences include Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis, Blind Willie McTell, Son House, Freddy King and Robert Johnson . Adam has also been influenced by songwriters John Hiatt, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle and Bob Dylan.
In addition to Adam''s own album, you can hear him play slide guitar on Happy Traum''s CD, "I Walk the Road Again."
