With his second release "Learning the Keys" KZ (formally 13 AMP"Ampacity") this is a welcome return, but the question you are all asking I''m sure is if this is any good? Time to find out.... Groove and aggression play opposing forces throughout "Learning the Keys". The percussive rhythms create a rocking groove, while trippy synths rise to the surface to create a wave of electronic sound. KZ constantly pushes the boundaries and attempts to bring something different to the listener with each track. The hard rock and hip-hop influences that move to the forefront thus emphasizing bass, guitars and head-bobbing will grab you throughout with its sharp edge as drum stabs and rising synths distort.

Background: KZ always loved the "electric sound" with those bleeps, glitches, grooves and beats that pulse with Techno and Electronica. Techno follows as it is typically melodic and harmonic lines still figure heavily in its definition, artists such as, Fluke, Orbital, Crystal Method, and Chemical Brothers provide inspiration for KZ. Philosophy: The measure of good music is not the amount of gear you have or if you string your own guitar under a tree in a nature preserve. Nor is it the time and energy expended mastering the craft. GOOD MUSIC IS DEFINED BY THE EMOTION IT INVOKES, ITS ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE THE MUSICIAN''S INTENT. IN THE END IT''S STILL ABOUT CHOICES. GEAR: Samplers, soft synths, sound designing, multimode filtering, analog modeling, modular effects, tone & rhythm generators and sequencing software.

As 13 Amp; KZ''s first release, "Ampacity" included Techno favorite "Charged"that received various awards on https://www.tradebit.com.: https://www.tradebit.com

The ''Feeling Lucky'' button
And that''s not always a bad thing-

For "feeling lucky"-it''s rather surprising.

I''m enjoying the vibe/beat here.
More & more actually,as the song goes https://www.tradebit.com''ve got a killer groove going on.

I happen to like the vox phaser...brings back days of the "Electric Cowboy" era of the 80''s.

The intro sounds a little sloppy, might wanna tighten that up some-the synch "sounds" off by a hair here & there;mainly because of the delay-it''s basically just the end of the electric guitar riff-that extra note makes it sound like it''s off key-though I know it''s not.

I''m not feeling the fusiony chord change at 1:28 at all-sounds totally out of place for this jam.

However-
00:56 just KICKS A$$-bigtime.

Overall, this has awesome appeal-mainly because of the beat/groove-which is excellent.

Spent awhile checking this one https://www.tradebit.comd job.

"Electro" is featured on "Learning the Keys" as well as "InfraSong" (Electro) that garnered outstanding Signature Reviews: https://www.tradebit.com

Play it again Sam...
Really freakin'' nice groove on this one. The thing I liked from the start is the different rhythms of each sound... It''s like a lava lamp on full speed. The melody underneath with the solid chord structure really pulls it all together... Some nice samples begin to arise at 2:40 sultry female cooing... Then the change up from there is definitely my style, ah yeah- it''s got a good 70''s disco vibe wrapped into a 21st century tortilla. This I''d say is one of the best ''electronic'' tunes I have ever heard on https://www.tradebit.com- and Im not just saying that I really truly mean it....reminds me of early 808state quality... and we all know those guys are genius!

MUSIC IS BACK!
Woah, im blown away by the use of off-beats! Dont mistake that as an insult, because that is far from it. If you know drums at all, off-beats are difficult to make sound good, and yours sound amazing. The bass really fits the part with the drums. And the echo sounds in the background complete the song. Great use of melody. It kept me wanting more. Can i get more of this style of music please? 10 out of 10!
