Details:
Since his debut as a Latin artist in 2000, Julio Cesar has become one of Toronto''s Hispanic community''s favourite performers. He began performing at the age of eight and by the end of the 90''s, had become a solid frontman for various bands with which he performed at many of the city''s renowned venues. During this time he was a founding member of "Graphic Warehouse", a pop-rock outfit with a talent for writing hooky melodies and arresting rhythms.
Julio Cesar''s infectious style has earned him the reputation of being an interpreter who can make any genre of music, Spanish or English, uniquely his own. This uniqueness was rewarded in 2002 with the "Latin American Achievement Award" (now, "Premiosomos") for best male vocalist. One local media personality has even referred to him as the "Revelation of the new millennium".
Julio''s audience appeal has also been recognized with invitations to appear as the opening act on Toronto stops by "Los Nocheros" and "Soledad", two of Argentina''s - and Latin America''s - most popular artists of this decade. He has also been invited to perform the national anthem(s) at the Latin-themed day held annually for both the MLB Toronto Blue Jays and NBA Toronto Raptors.
