Ray Sanders, a former “Most Promising Male Vocalist”, a regular on “Hee-Haw”, who has had numerous national chart records, on what may be his best CD ever, has once again put his touch on the 14 songs that make up “Ray Sanders sings Texas Dance Hall Style” as only he can.
Ray is backed by a select group of “A” list musicians, including Bob Moore (bass), “Pig” Robbins (piano), Buddy Harmon (drums), Ray Edenton and Steve Chapman (rhythm guitar), Leon Rhodes (tic-tac bass), Lloyd Green, JayDee Maness and Jim Loessberg (pedal steel), Dale Morris, Jr., Buddy Spicher and Billy Armstrong (fiddle) and Billy Sanford and Jimmy Capps (lead guitar).
Background vocals were performed by Janie Brannon and Dottie DeLeonibus; female vocal on “She Still Lights A Candle” was performed by Dottie Jack (courtesy Startex Records).
“Ray sings Texas Dance Hall Style” was recorded at the Sound Emporium in Nashville, Tennessee and Eagle Audio Recording in Ft. Worth, Texas. The engineer at Sound Emporium was Jim Williamson; Jeff Ward was engineer at Eagle Audio. Fred Chester, Tallahassee, Florida, mastered this CD.
