Details:
Curtis Bay’s music has been described in such words like “nascent-illbientism”, “ghetto tech wizardry” and “jazz”...Im not sure what any of that means.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Curtis Bay has been Living in Oakland,California for the last past half of his life. The best of both worlds.

Multi Instrumentalist Curtis Bay Studied Jazz on Alto Sax and has played Electronics from a young age.
The Curtis Bay Show has been broadcasting for the past 8 years on https://www.tradebit.com via the web, as well as Radio100 in Amsterdam. The show consists of original works every week for 1 hour (Wed. 3:00pm,PST 6pm EST, 23:00 GMT)

Earth Attacks is Curtis Bays 5th Independent Release.
This release dwells into the breakcore realm with childlike enthusiasm. Odd time frames and the usual illbient experements. Added to the mix with toys and an anything goes policy is Oakland artist Ms Clarisse, who also provided the cover art.

Dont miss Curtis Bays Breakcore Puppet Show! Coming to a venue near you!

This is what other people have said about Curtis Bay…..

“One night we were having a party, and Pete was there with his little Casio sampler. Pete sampled himself in the bathroom and played it for us. Now, backed with a cool electronic jazz soundtrack, it sounded pretty cool... Curtis Bay and Mike DeJong seem to take party tricks like that to the level of high art.” ---Ink19

"other-worldly", sci-fi quality to it. It reeks of the same urban decay. It emotes the same metro-denizen paranoid anxiety. But it''s more direct than the east coast stuff that we know as illbient” —Splendid Ezine

“It''s the slightly claustrophobic aura that hangs over the whole mix. It''s the edge and the soul that lifts these recordings way above the pretenders who merely manipulate other people''s beats into a whole different realm of invention and innovation”. “Jazzier Portishead, Junkyard Band (mid-80''s, Def Jam) found-sound beats, drowsy trip hop, organic/acoustic electro and FSOL smooth electronics, again with tastefully minimal sax and a general ambient ambience to tie things together.” ---Robots and Electronic Brains
