ABOUT JULIA WADE

JULIA WADE is a singer who spans a number of different musical genres - from classical to pop. She has performed nationally and internationally in opera, cabaret, concert work, and musical theatre. On the opera stage, Julia was featured at the Rome Opera in Kurt Weill''s LADY IN THE DARK and at the Palermo Opera, where it was televised on RAI TV throughout Italy.

Other highlights of Julia Wade''s operatic work onstage include leading roles in COSI FAN TUTTE, DIE FLEDERMAUS, LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, LA BOHEME, THE MAGIC FLUTE, THE MEDIUM, HANSEL AND GRETEL, MADAMA BUTTERFLY, SUOR ANGELICA, THE TELEPHONE, and THE FACE ON THE BARROOM FLOOR In addition, Julia created principal roles in two world premieres: Eve and The Emcee in Henry Mollicone''s HOTEL EDEN, and Anna in WEST OF WASHINGTON SQUARE by Alva Henderson.

Julia has performed with the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart at Carnegie Hall. She has also been a guest artist at Merkin Concert Hall and CAMI Hall in New York City. Julia''s solo cabaret concerts have taken her across the country as well as numerous performances at Don''t Tell Mama, a well-known cabaret in New York City.

Julia recorded her debut solo album, THE GREATEST THING IN THE WORLD, -- a contemporary classical CD of original inspirational music by composer Peter B. Allen. The album features Julia''s performance of a forty-minute oratorio for soprano and orchestra, written specifically for Julia''s voice. She played the leading role of Olivia, in POMPEII, the story of what happens to her on the day that Mount Vesuvius erupts -- book and music by Dorothy Papadakos. PETER LINK (composer) has won the NY DRAMA DESK AWARD for his work in SALVATION, out of which came his first Gold Record, IF YOU LET ME MAKE LOVE TO YOU, THEN WHY CAN''T I TOUCH YOU? which sold over two million records. He is a two-time Tony Award Nominee both for his musical score of Joseph Papp''s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and for his score for Neil Simon''s THE GOOD DOCTOR. His musical concert, THE RIVER swept the off-Broadway TOR AWARDS as not only Best Musical, but also won for Mr. Link Best Director and Best Composer/Lyricist. Mr. Link also served as Composer-in-Residence at the New York Shakespeare Festival for several years where he wrote the score for many shows. His Broadway credits include ULYSSES IN NIGHTTOWN starring Zero Mostel, LYSISTRATA starring Melina Mercouri, THE MIGHTY GENTS starring Morgan Freeman, and KING OF HEARTS.

He has been most instrumental in directing the career of JENNY BURTON and composing, producing and directing THE JENNY BURTON EXPERIENCE. This Pop / Inspirational / R&B act performed to sold out audiences for over seven years weekly at NYC''s cabaret, Don''t Tell Mama. The group has swept all the major cabaret awards for BEST VOCAL GROUP including the Backstage Bistro Award, The Critics Choice Award and The MAC Award. He has most recently completed writing and producing a cast album of his western musical, SUNDOWN, a musicalization of the gunfight at the OK Corral, which had its very successful world premier in the spring of 2002 at the Lyric Theater in Dallas and opened at The Barter Theater in Virginia in the spring of 2003.
