WaFoo emerged as an innovative and invigorating force in New York Jazz scene with its unique usage of traditional Japanese musical elements and instruments.

WaFoo''s music is original composed by award-winning members and new interpretation of traditional Japanese folk song. "Organic Mood" features the pens of pianist Takeshi Asai and bassist Kazuo Nakamura. Each piece depicts scenes and cultures from Japan with solid jazz writing, serious improvisation and creative orchestration.
