Details:
Krystal Method is a huge fan of Old School Hip-Hop/Rap artists. Her influences include but are not limited to, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, KRS-1, Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte, Public Enemy and numerous other old school rap artists. She also enjoys some of today''s Rap artist''s including Missy Elliot and Nas, among others. Her style is positive music with an edge, with no curse in any verse.
While Krystal Method is appreciative of how far Rap has come since the days of "Rappers Delite" in the late 1970''s, she is dismayed at the current state of women in rap. "There are virtually no female rappers being showcased in the mainstream media right now", she says. Which is why she has decided to pursue her dream of sharing her positive, thought provoking, messages with the world, through music. She hopes her efforts will encourage other women to become more involved in music, especially Hip-Hop and Rock.
Krystal Method recently released "Who''s Fighting This War" (The Re-Launch E.P.) now available online. Her songs, "Who''s Fighting This War" and "Whose War Is This" have sparked some controversy and, are quickly becoming underground favorites. Both songs feature up and coming rap artist, "The Raw". Her debut full length CD (title to be announced) is currently in the works. Krystal Method is an artist on the rise.
On a side note, when she''s not making music, Krystal Method (also known as, Sistah Crystal) co-hosts a weekly Radio Talk Show on the Independant Public Radio Station, W.A.I.F Cincinnati, 88.3 Fm called SistaHood with the show''s creator Sistah Victoria, Fridays 5pm-6pm.
