Dave Willey grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, where he met Henry Winters. He is now based in Boulder, Colorado, where he accompanies dance classes, writes scores for dance, and works in a restaurant. He leads his own band, Hamster Theatre (Recognized as "Best Experimental Band" (Denver) in Westword Music Awards), plays bass and accordion with the internationally feared Thinking Plague, and plays piano for the Denver Gentlemen. Currently and slowly, he is working on a project with ex-Soft Machine bassist Hugh Hopper, as well as devising a collaboration with the ''pataphysical French group Toupidek Limonade. In addition to co-producing Hamster Theater''s "Carnival Detournement" (Cuneiform Records, 2001), his production credits include Lorna Hunt''s "Sentimental Bedlam (Hunk Records/Bug Music, 2003).
Henry Winters has written and performed songs for numerous bands, including the Meister Bro''s of Corvallis, Oregon, while pursuing careers in sales and project management. Though leaving the humble innocence of Corvallis for residences ranging from Boulder to Boston and Italy (even Iraq via a military stint), he has settled in Southern, California. In more recent years his primary musical focus has been on writing, though he currently performs solo at Coffee houses in the Long Beach area.
Having maintained their friendship and occasionally collaborated musically, Henry and Dave had long talked about a musical partnership between them, combining Henry''s song writing, with its stylistic emphasis on the lyrical and poetic, with Dave''s diverse breadth of musical talent and vision. This collaboration officially began in mid-2001, giving birth to Intralopers, which has culminated in their first CD "Coming Home", completed in November, 2003. The result is a unique blend of diverse style and theme reflective of their combined experience.
