Wired! Is a high-energy dance band that has been performing regularly around the Puget Sound for the past couple of years. They are gaining quite a reputation for their entertaining stage show and on and off-stage antics. Wired brings the best of the blues and rockabilly scene into one unique show that gets people up and dancing all night. Their first release In Like Flynn is a great sampler of the range of music this band brings to the stage. The album, comprised completely of songs written by lead singer and guitarist Kevin Sutton, mirrors the extensive range of songs the band performs live. The album, recorded at the Blue Ewe Studio on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound, is currently enjoying brisk sales in the Pacific Northwest and has recently shown promise in the European market.
Here''s a review from popular local radio personality Jim Hilmar from KSER 90.7 FM Everett Washington USA:

In Like Flynn is the first full-length CD from Wired! and it’s been spinning in my CD player and featured on my radio show almost non-stop since its official debut a few weeks ago.
If you have eclectic musical tastes you need to check out Wired! - a quality and versatile band with talented players and catchy songs. While steeped in the blues, one listen to the playing of singer/songwriter/guitarist Kevin Sutton, ace drummer Rick Jacobson and bass man Keith Bakke will reveal hillbilly/rockabilly, rock and roll and soul/funk roots. And this shows me that not only do these guys play great, they are also students and fans of great American music.
In addition to being in the radio business I’m also a guitar player so I have several different perspectives when I listen to music. And Wired! delivers on all of them. My favorite tunes include the delightful country/rockabilly sound of “I Still Ain’t Got The Blues” (complete with Kevin’s tasty lap steel work), the rockabilly-flavored vibe of “Go Cat Go” (a fine toe-tapper – I dare you to sit still when this one’s playing) and “In Like Flynn” (complete with a “Mystery Train” cadence and musical ‘quotes'' from other blues and rockabilly songs that you’ll definitely recognize). I also dig the perfectly relaxed groove on “Barkin'' Up The Wrong Tree” (with a subtle and tasty guitar intro from Kevin), “I Put My Best Foot Forward” (ever-so-slightly sinister sounding), “Tough Love” (perfect tempo and a Leslie guitar sound on this bluesy number), “Gone Dog Gone” (this one motors right along), “The Writing’s On The Wall” (with a solid funky groove) and “I Had To Ask” (a classic electric blues sound with a nice sublime ending).
So let’s review: eclectic and catchy songs with plenty of great playing. Don’t hesitate – get your copy of In Like Flynn and get Wired!

Kevin Sutton, guitar and lead vocals - Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he left to study classical music at the University of Hawaii. He ended up in St. Louis, Missouri where he became a regular in the local blues scene. By day he helped operate West End Music and taught music. At night he played with such notable St. Louis artists as Johnny Johnson, Tommy Bankhead, Steve Pecaro, David Surkamp, and Jimmy Lee Kennet. Performances ranged from appearances at the Heritage Blues Festival, to regular gigs at Soulard blues bars The 1860''s and Mike and Min''s, as well as opening up at the Westport Playhouse for such acts as Robin Trower and Emmylou Harris. He credits his big brother Casey for making it possible to pursue his love of music over the years, "without his support I would not be playing today; he believed in me."
Rick (The Stick) Jacobson, drums and vocals - Born and raised in the Seattle area Rick has been a drummer/percussionist for over 25 years starting with a five year stint in Northwest area drum and bugle corps. Rick''s favorite drummers include David Garibaldi, Ringo Starr, Phil Collins, Stewart Copeland, and all of the James Brown drummers. In addition to his studio performance on drums and percussion, the In Like Flynn album was produced by Rick Jacobson.
Keith Bakke, bass and vocals - Keith Bakke is the anchor of the Wired Rockabilly Blues Band. Bakke has been performing up and down the West coast from California to Alaska for the past four decades. While he is best known for a 23 year stint with Seattle-based Lost Vaurnets, he has played with many other local and regional bands including: the Premiers, Lucky Jones, Family, and Early Flight. Keith’s solid old-school bass lines fit well with Rick’s drums to create a groove that is impossible not to dance to. If you like to dance, you know that the groove is the thing and Keith is the master of grooves.
