Details:
Paolo Aparicio Caserta''s early musical influence came
from growing up in the musical rich environment of New Orleans, Louisiana as well as his family home.
Growing up music was always a central discipline in his home. All four of his siblings played an instrument. At age seven he began studying classical guitar. Later in his University studies he trained with New Orleans guitarist John Rankin, whose influence continues to inspire him.
Inspired by a rich exposure to many forms of music
including: flamenco, folk, blues and jazz, he went on
to study many genres which greatly influence his current
playing.
Paolo still considers himself to be a student and his style is constantly adapting to reflect the dynamic inner and outer experience of life. This understanding of life was greatly revealed during his years as a Buddhist Monk in the hills of West Virginia.
During that time he gave up playing the guitar for five years to cultivate another love and discipline, the practice of meditation. He continues to weave the two main disciplines of his life, guitar playing and mindfulness meditation, to help unfold himself and his listeners to the fullness of being human.
His first album “Awaken” was produced in north New Mexico near Taos where he currently lives with his wife and two year old daughter, though not for long. They will be soon leaving to live abroad in South America. The album is dedicated to all his family and friends in the “Land of Enchantment,” New Mexico.
