Scott''s dream from the day he was born in Eugene, Oregon was to be a singer and songwriter and share his music with the world. His dream is now coming true with the release of his first CD titled "Good Start At A Bad Idea".
At the early age of nine Scott''s family moved to Canada for a short period of time, where his father was hired to start up a wood manufacturing plant. While in Canada, Scott didn''t waste any time finding the spotlight and competed in the Quanis Music Festival. From there Scott went on to perform in many musicals. As Scott says " None of the stuff I did as a kid paid any money, I did it because I loved being in the spotlight and in front of an audience".
After High School, Scott moved to Hong Kong to follow in his father''s footsteps of sales and marketing and attended the University of London, off shore program. Scott spent 4 successful years working in Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam. All of this hard work led up to Scott owning an international Import/Export company. Unfortunately, this was Scott''s need to make his father proud and not his dream. Scott longed for something much more.
In 2001 Scott took the first steps in pursing his dream by making the trip to Music City. Scott started writing and performing around town and the U.S. With Scott''s marketing experience and music background Scott was poised to be the next newcomer to break through on the country charts.
Good Start At A Bad Idea is the result of years of writing and life experiences. It was hard to pick out only 11 songs of the many he has written. Scott and various co-writers have written all eleven songs. These are songs that Scott feels everyone can associate with. As Scott puts it "I love everything about my life. The friends, the writing, the touring and producing, designing and performing on my own CD and seeing it through completion has been great"
