Details:
I have had the pleasure of knowing Frances since we were both teenagers, and even then she was a great vocalist and had a good band. Together they performed at many clubs., auditoriums and festivals.
In 1975 she moved to Kentucky and recorded with Ricky Scaggs and Vince Gill.
In 1977 moved back to Georgia and in the last several years has formed a new band, Frances Mooney & Fontanna Sunset. In a few short years after hearing Frances Mooney & Fontanna Sunset I’ve had the pleasure of watching them become very successful with their song arrangements, salesmanship on stage, and being very professional with their audience. I also had the pleasure of setting in and producing their CD, “Last Rose For Grandpa” and singing on, “Last night I fell for you all over again” and “Angels Rejoiced". A great female vocalist who is quickly taking her place among the top female vocalist in Bluegrass

I love to hear country and bluegrass music with great sacred messages. I’ll find myself playing often when I hear something genuine. It’s as genuine as are the members of Frances Mooney & Fontanna Sunset. A great lady whose friendship I’ve treasured for a long number of years.

I have know Fran Mooney and Jimmy Ross since my early days when I was learning to play bluegrass. At that time they had a band called "Bluegrass Generation" that played in Knoxville on a regular basis. They had a great band back then (mid 70''s). Now flash forward nearly 30-years it is 2007. I was very pleased after all the years to cross paths again with Frances & Jimmy, same people...same great musicians. I want to say that Fran and Jimmy have always been two of my favorite musicians and singers, but on this CD they have surrounded themselves withequally talented players who really help bring out the best in this project. When you put the five (5) of these fine musicians together the product becomes a well thought out, well produced, great sounding project. The music is pleasant which makes you want to lisen to it again and again. I want to also mention here how proud I was when Fran Mooney received an IBMA Award in 2006 for her participation on the Daughters Of Bluegrass "Back To The Well" CD. If you enjoy good music being played by good people, then you are going to love this CD. When you are in a band with good friends it shows through in the music.
Take my word...You will love this CD.
