These are songs that came to me during the years that I was going through a deep and intense transformational process, letting go of who I had been taught I should be and beginning to discover who I really am. These songs brought many insights that have served me well in evolving through the years.
I’ve discovered that I’m a “songcatcher” rather than a performer. I absolutely love receiving a new song and creating a form for it, working with it, arranging it, sharing it occasionally when it speaks to people and the processes they are experiencing in their own lives. To me "catching" a song is like unwrapping layer after layer of a wonderful present, discovering what IT wants to be.
My intention in sharing these songs is to support all of you who are going through your own big life changes and having to deal with all the rapid transformation that is occurring of all levels of life experience here on this planet. These are powerful and empowering songs that I think could benefit lots of people who are opening and growing, and deepening their connection to spirit and to the earth.
I hold a vision of these songs being discovered by true performers who can get them out to the world in a much bigger way than I can.
All these songs were originally recorded in my home studio back in the days of tape cassettes and I recently had them converted to CD format so that they wouldn’t be completely lost. Nigel, my sound engineer here in Dunedin, NZ assures me they are the best quality possible without my going back and re-recording every song digitally - which will never happen!
My life has evolved in a totally different direction of using singing and sounding and high definition video photography to align with spiritual and earth energies, focusing on creating personal and planetary well-being.

My inspiration for each of the songs:
Twilight Magic (1994) - driving past Mount Shasta in northern California as the sun was setting, turning my head and seeing a full moon rising from behind the mountain.
Energy Is Moving (1990) - written after had I graduated from JFKU with a MA in Consciousness Studies, moved to Washington State and was experiencing big changes on all levels of my life.
Wheel of Fortune (1994) - was written in response to a call for songs by a woman who had come to appreciate all the good that had come from a long ago accident that had left her in a wheel chair.
Let Go, Clear It Out (1990) - I went through a period of several years where I moved frequently and literally got tired of hauling all that “stuff” (both physical and non-physical) around with me
After the Fire (1990) - written after the completion of an important relationship to acknowledge the healing power of tears.
Caterpillar (1983) - one of the first songs I wrote - sometimes being a somewhat reluctant butterfly seems to be a recurring life theme for me.
Run With The Wolves (1994) - experiences I had while singing at Wolfhaven (a sanctuary for wolves near Olympia, WA) and reading the book, “Women Who Run With The Wolves”.
Woman, Sing Out (1995) - for women everywhere whose voices and deep feminine wisdom are deeply needed by their families, friends, and communities during these changing times
The Power’s In Your Hand (1994) - inspired by a comment I heard that people have great power and influence right in their own very hand each time they choose how they are going to spend their money
Things Will Never Ever Be Just The Same (1994) - while driving home one day, I realized I had learned how to be happy. I had found an inner soul connection that was so strong, that even when I was angry or sad on the surface, my inner core was solidly connected to a knowingness of well-being and I knew I would always be able to find my way back to that place in myself.
I Forgive (1994) - the realization that very often forgiving myself was the most important part of being able to forgive anyone else
This Very Special Day (1990) - written for a minister’s ordination ceremony
I Give Thanks (1994) - written as a birthday present for a dear friend
