Heavily influenced by the brilliance of early twentieth century European jazz guitarist, Django Reinhardt, Duane''s inimitable blend of Jazz and Newfoundland traditional music is consistently recognized by both industry and fans with awards and accolades. Winner of the 2007 USA Songwriting Contest Jazz Category for "Isaac''s Blues" and a 2007 Independent Music Award for his 2006 release "Crocus, Andrews has literally toured around the world from his home in St. John''s Newfoundland with stops at the Ten Days on the Island Festival in Tasmania, the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island and the Montreal Jazz Festival. His third album "Raindrops" (2008) features a collaboration with the Atlantic String Quartet.
