Card Tricks by Howard Thurston
Card Tricks, first published in 1903, was written by Howard Thurston, the master himself. Mr. Thurston, also know as “The King of Cards” was a master magician who found his niche, among the hoard of magicians, by performing card tricks.
In the days of Vaudeville, Howard Thurston had the largest traveling magic show for the time. It took more than eight railroad cars to transport his props and paraphernalia around the country.
In Card Tricks Thurston divulges the secrets of well over a dozen of the most popular sleight of hand card manipulations still performed by magicians today.
Card Tricks includes more than 45 illustrations to assist the reader with the finer detail of many of the tricks.
“Howard Thusrton, the man who produced living things from nowhere and made them disappear again into thin air” passed away in April of 1936 at the age of 66.
