Sheltershed could never be listed under any one genre, and time has proven that to be no hurdle. Some DJ''s have dubbed the bands style as “Electro Clash”, an intense mixture of heavy industrial sounds and irresistible hooks and grooves. Approaching their ten year anniversary as one of the Midwest''s most rockin'' electronica outfits, the Sheltershed tank is moving forward at full speed. The trio of Rob Tippey, Craig White and Shane Yoho continues to produce electronic music that blurs the lines between Trance and Drum and Bass, Breaks and Hardstyle, PsyTrance and Industrial, and any other musical discipline that strikes a chord with the mind and spirit. Sheltershed''s fans, affectionately known as “Shed heads”, have shown that music that ignites emotion will always be the most sought after and appreciated.
Sponsored by M-Audio, FutureRetro, and MegaSeg DJ Software, the guys take their musical weaponry on the road playing shows across the Midwestern United States, and releasing music worldwide. The band has multiple releases on Myx Records and NSoul, compilation tracks on Flaming Fish Records, and has worked with Volition on tracks for the PS2 game Summoner. Their music is available in iTunes, BeatPort, CD Baby, and SoundLoud. Highlight performances include 6 years at the Cornerstone festival with artists such as Stryke and Andy Hunter, the Autobahn Festival with Venus Hum, Joy Electric and The Echoing Green, and many others. Just recently the band appeared at the Ichthus Festival and once again attracted a mixed crowed consisting of fans across all musical genres. As an added dimension, live drums were a part of the show thanks to Sheltershed’s newest member Shane Yoho. Sheltershed released their 9th project in April 2008. Motor Club features tracks from Shane & Dan''s side project, Research Division.
