Jebu is a group that formed in 1999. Since the beginning, it has included many great and different musicians. It''s been a 3-piece, 5-piece, and also comes in extra crispy. Always rooted in funk, the band has explored rock, soul, jazz, reggae, hip-hop and dub styles. Currently the band is not just a myth but real people who also contribute to other local bands in the Utah community. "It''s kind of a funky collective," claims founder Jed Keipp. He''s their singer, song writer, and overall whip cracker. "These days, we play for the love of funk." Jed or Jebu has also spread out into solo performances and even guest appeared with such groups as Shaky Trade, Spearit, Reaper and Dublife Soundsystem. One thing''s for sure; the music comes straight from the soul and is made for all to enjoy. Currently Jebu is playing shows locally and producing recordings for other local artists.
