Details:
Geraldine Brooke is a singer’s singer and a songwriter’s songwriter. An accomplished musician on several instruments, she has a natural gift for writing heartfelt and memorable melodies, and she has captured audiences and listeners for many years. Her four-octave range and incredible versatility have enabled her to perform classic works from Judy Collins, Bonnie Raitt, and Ella Fitzgerald to Handel, Mozart and Puccini.

She was sought after for session work, became a regular voice over the radio and television in her hometown of Washington, DC, and eventually sang the United Way’s national campaign with Richie Havens both over the airwaves as well as in front of a very prestigious audience including former presidents and distinguished actors at The Kennedy Center. She has also worked and recorded with several major artists such as Mary-Chapin Carpenter, John Jennings, Jon Carroll, Smokey Robinson, Gregg Karukas, and Marc Shaiman. But it is her original body of work of over 150 songs that is getting the attention these days. Her songs and themes have a rich and wonderful quality about them that is real and timeless, intimate yet universal, empowering and comforting, uplifting and transcending.

She is a uniquely talented and gifted artist and melodic writer who knows how to “turn a phrase” and express a thought or experience effortlessly. Her songs are very well-crafted, and she has always prided herself on well-produced and arranged recordings for the enjoyment and listening pleasure of her fans. Geraldine’s influences range from the Beatles to Joni Mitchell to James Taylor to Mozart. From folk to country to blues to jazz to pop, she has mastered it all.

Her brand new CD, “Songs Of The Heart”, is a richly personal journey through life’s challenges and possibilities to its heartache and joyous moments. “This recording project began as a labor of love and to honor the memory of one of my dearest friends, Kit Kamien, who sadly had passed away. He was such a wonderful inspiration and an incredible musician and songwriter. I am very proud of this body of work. There is a very special feeling you get as you hear each song, and of course, it is very close to my heart. I hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Here are a few of the comments we have received:

“It''s a great CD and wonderful songs. You and your band of musicians should be very proud of this. I love it !! The first two are my favorites yet there are three or four others that grow and grow on me and compete for attention. ‘It''s not over...’ is one, ‘What would I do?’...both of them !!
Let''s face it they''re ALL brilliant. Well done and I think you have a winner here.”
